A Culinary Detour to Naples: Tulia Italian Steak
On a road trip from Tampa to Miami, we made a delightful detour to the charming town of Naples and decided to dine at The French Brasserie Rustique. 📍 365 Fifth Ave S, Naples, FL 34102 Here’s a detailed review of our experience: 🍽️ Appetizers Octopus | $25 Thinly sliced octopus layered beneath a vibrant salad with a tangy dressing. The slight acidity of the vegetables beautifully highlighted the freshness of the octopus. Highly recommended! Deviled Eggs | $16 Hard-boiled eggs topped with a swirl of mayo and Dijon mustard sauce. Tasty but not particularly memorable — reminiscent of sandwich spreads from back home. Shrimp and Cantaloupe Salad | $28 Grilled shrimp, feta cheese, ham, cantaloupe, and mixed greens. The smoky flavor of the shrimp stood out, and the dressed greens were so good even a veggie-skeptic like me devoured it. A must-try! 🍖 Main Courses Duck Leg Confit Our favorite main — tender, with a smoky cured flavor reminiscent of Chinese腊肉. Served with perfectly roasted potatoes. Absolutely recommend! Risotto | $34 Loaded with shrimp, mussels, salmon, and another white fish. Solid, but not as memorable as the risotto we recently had at Tampa’s Ulele. French Dip Baguette | $28 Slow-cooked beef short ribs in a red wine and onion sauce. Tasty, but not as standout as the other dishes. 🍰 Dessert Éclair | $15 A raspberry-filled éclair topped with white chocolate chips. The balance of tart and sweet, paired with creamy pastry, was exceptional — and not overly sweet! A game-changer for those wary of American desserts. Highly recommend! 💁 Service & Gratuity A 20% gratuity is included, with an optional extra 2% suggested. Worth every penny — the service was attentive and enhanced the overall experience. #Naples#Florida#travelguide#TuliaItalianSteak#foodguide#Naplesfood
