A Culinary Night at Broadway Oyster Bar
After work today, I went to Broadway Oyster Bar with a friend. Located in the old town of St. Louis, the red brick wall and blues music made us feel the Southern vibe before even stepping inside 😊. Though we're in Missouri, our stomachs had already flown to Louisiana! The staff recommended the classic combo. The first spoonful of gumbo warmed my throat and stomach with its thick broth, sausage, and seafood 🌟. When the jambalaya pot was uncovered, the rice soaked up the essence of tomatoes and Cajun spices, packed with shrimp and chicken. My friend exclaimed while scooping, "This portion is so generous!" We devoured it, scraping the plate clean 🥘 As for the oysters—in the Midwest, you really can’t expect too much. They were plump and briny, but not particularly memorable. Consider them a refreshing interlude in this meal 🦪. Sipping iced tea and watching the neon lights outside, I realized happiness is simple: it’s the moment we smile at each other with empty plates, pushing open the wooden door with satisfied bellies 💫. #FoodDiary #MissouriFoodFind #StewLover #CarbJoy #SimplePleasures #OysterTasting #EverydayShare
