A Day Trip to Milwaukee, Wisconsin 🚗🌆
Pushed the limits with a one-day road trip—drove 5 hours from Minneapolis to Milwaukee! 🚗 Departed at 5:30 AM, arrived in Milwaukee by 10:30 AM. Here’s how it went: 🌟 Milwaukee Public Market – A lively morning market filled with unique local bites at every stall. Full of flavor and vibes! 🎨 Milwaukee Art Museum – Stunning architecture right by Lake Michigan. Similar vibe to MIA but with its own unique look. 🏍️ Harley-Davidson Museum – Highly recommend! Not too big, but packed with history and incredibly cool motorcycles from every era. ⛪ Basilica of Saint Josaphat – Not every church is called a Basilica! Beautiful and intricately designed. Check opening hours before going—it has limited access. 🧢 Giannis Mural – Stopped by for a quick photo at the Giannis Antetokounmpo mural. 🍻 Miller Brewery Tour – The Miller Beer headquarters offers tours. If you’re 21+, you can sample exclusive beers only available here! Sadly, my friend and I are under 21, so we missed out. 🚗 Then drove 1 hour to Madison: 🏛️ Wisconsin State Capitol – Impressive and grand building. Definitely worth seeing! 🍽️ Ichiban Sichuan 📍 610 S Park St, Madison, WI 53715 💰 ~$30 per person This place puts any Chinese restaurant in Minnesota to shame! They serve a variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious. The cumin lamb was flavorful with no gaminess, the sizzling frog legs on the iron plate were saucy and perfect with rice, and the fish with pork intestine was tender and smooth. ⚠️ Only downside: the service wasn’t the friendliest. #Milwaukee #Wisconsin #MinneapolisDayTrip #UMN #StudyAbroad #CampusLife #USCollegeLife #HiddenGemEats
