A day with poor weather in Pokhara
🌍Despite being known as the "Little Switzerland of the East," Pokhara, unfortunately, we didn't have good luck with the weather during our two days there, and we couldn't fully appreciate its beauty. ✨The streets were bustling with many European and American tourists, carrying large backpacks and looking energetic. 🌈We set out at 5 a.m. to climb a mountain to watch the sunrise over the Annapurna mountain range from a rooftop platform. We saw the sunrise, but the clouds were too thick, and we couldn't see the snow-capped mountains, let alone the golden glow of the sun on them. 🚢Boating on Phewa Lake was on colorful wooden boats, which were quite beautiful. The green waters of the lake were tranquil, but without the sun and thick cloud cover, the scenery was much less impressive. There were birds on the shore eating fish. 🩵On an island in the middle of the lake is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Shakti, the protector of women. After returning to the shore, we strolled along the lakeside street and exchanged money; Pokhara offered the best exchange rate! (1:18.35) 🏫Pema Ts’al Sakya Monastery It's somewhat similar to Sera Monastery, but much smaller in scale. It's not open for visitors during morning classes, but it is in the afternoon. There were still classes in session, and many children were studying there. The monastery has a style similar to Tibetan architecture, with several beautiful white pagodas and many sheep-shaped decorations. There were few tourists in the monastery, and monks were giving lectures to visitors. #Nepal#NepalTravel#Pokhara#FishTailPeak#FishTailPeakSunrise#PhewaLake#PhewaLakeEveningPuja#DavidsFall#WorldPeacePole#WorldPeacePolePokhara#Pema Ts'al Sakya Monastic Institute#trip diary#travel guide# Phewa Lake
