A Family Trip to the UK: Visiting Thomas Land 🚂
Due to some special reasons, my mom didn't join us on this trip. I canceled the planned city walk in Edinburgh, but instead, we went to Thomas Land, which turned out to be a very wise choice. Key Recommendation 💓: 2/3 of the attractions are suitable for children over 90cm (must be accompanied by an adult), which is much better than other amusement parks where only a few "dumbed-down" attractions are available for kids. Ticket Prices: Book in advance on the official website for £49.8 for one adult and one child. Transportation: Many places in the UK are more convenient to visit by car. I had to take an Uber, which cost £36 and took 40 minutes from the city center of Birmingham. It's at the city border, and it's quite hard to get a ride back to Birmingham; I waited nearly 40 minutes before a car accepted my order. Accommodation: Stayed at the Staybridge Suites, part of the IHG group, near the Bullring in Birmingham city center. It's one of the few hotels in the UK with high cost-performance ratio, spacious rooms, and a kitchen. Many hotels in the UK are old and small, around 15 square meters. This was very convenient for me and the child, as we could buy food and heat it up. The famous Chinatown is just a 15-minute walk away, which is especially convenient for children. It was incredibly fun, Thomas Land was a blast. The kid who was initially scared ended up having a great time, and I was dizzy from all the rides but still had to accompany them. I recommend the little train near the lake, the Accelerator, the little train in Thomas Land, Trunk's transport express train, Alice's sky ride, and so on. Play Time: We entered at 10:30 am and left at 4:30 pm, and we only managed to experience 1/3 of the attractions. We didn't even get to spend much time in the zoo. #Rollercoaster #DayTrip #TravelGuide #UKFamilyTrip #ThomasLand #Birmingham
