A Free Western-Themed Block Party Is Back This Week In Downtown San Francisco

**Free block parties** are continuing in Downtown San Francisco, this time with a **western twist**. Hoedown on Front Street debuted this spring with a packed block party featuring line dancing, country music, and crowds of San Franciscans enjoying the entertainment zone. And lucky for us, it’s back this week! The western-themed event takes place on the **first Thursday of every month**, and the next event is from **4-9pm on Thursday, July 3, 2025.** It coincides with [Downtown First Thursdays](https://secretsanfrancisco.com/downtown-first-thursdays/), which have been widely popular in their first year. Hoedown on Front Street usually includes fantastic **live bluegrass and country music, line dancing lessons, a mechanical bull, and rodeo-themed games.** Participating bars like Harrington’s Bar and Grill, Schroeder’s, and Royal Exchange serve drinks that you can take into the block party.
