A Fresh & Creative Fine Dining Experience in SF 🌿✨

🏠 Sorrel This is a long-overdue review~ documenting the fine dining experience for my husband's birthday last October! 🎂🍾 Life's been crazy, and I only found time to organize my thoughts now during the holiday season~ Looking back, their dishes were truly impressive—some left a lasting impression! I wonder what their winter seasonal menu looks like now? ❄️🍽️ Highlights 🌟 ❤️ 【Seafood】 Their seafood—especially the raw oysters and yellowtail—deserves major praise! 🦪🐟 It perfectly reflects their fresh, creative, herb-infused style (fun fact: their name Sorrel is an herb! 🌿😂). Raw dishes usually have limited room for creativity, but they nailed it with unique pairings, exciting flavors, and stunning presentation! Both dishes had a hint of fruit, using sweet & sour notes to enhance the umami while keeping the colors harmonious. 🎨🍋 ❤️ 【Bread】 Even their complimentary bread came with a next-level butter experience (see Pic 4)! 🍞🧈 Four types of butter, piped into cute tubes, each topped with different garnishes—visually stunning and distinct in flavor! ❤️ 【Main Course】 Their dry-aged duck was memorable! 🦆🔥 ❤️ 【Dessert】 The desserts were adorable! At first, I didn’t even realize the little star-shaped treat was cotton candy! 🌟🍭 Since it was a birthday celebration, they also gifted us a lollipop surrounded by petals—so photogenic! The weather was scorching that day, so the chilled sweets were perfect. ❄️💖 Lowlights 😅 💔 【AC Issues】 The day we visited was unusually hot for SF… and their AC felt nonexistent! 🥵 It got so stuffy inside that it dampened the whole experience—such a shame! #SFfoodie #BayAreaEats #FineDining #DateNightSpot #HiddenGemSF #WeekendBites #BayAreaFoodScene #SFrestaurants
