A Half-Day Stroll in Le Marais, Paris
🥛🥛When planning our Paris itinerary, my friends and I unanimously voted for shopping in Le Marais. We pinned over a hundred spots on Google Maps, and it turned out to be super useful – we even stumbled upon some nice little surprises. 🚇 Starting from Chemin Vert Metro Station Beginning your half-day tour of Le Marais here is perfect. The main loop connects a whole morning and afternoon of eating and shopping.🍓🍓 🍰 Alma the Chimney Cake Factory As soon as we exited the metro, the aroma of this shop lured us in! The three of us ordered a large chimney cake, paired with hot coffee, which warmed us up in the cold spell. 🏛️ Hugo's House & Place des Vosges Hugo's former residence is free to visit – I’ve got a separate post with tips on that. Next to it is Place des Vosges, Paris’ oldest royal square, with its red-brick arcades and symmetrical gardens that make for amazing photos.🎋🎋 💍 Cecile et Jeanne | Must-visit jewelry store Walking along Place des Vosges brings you to this niche jewelry shop (there are several nearby). The peace dove 🕊️ is their signature design element, perfect for gifting or keeping for yourself~ 🔮 Les Georgettes | Designer bracelets 🥧🥧This was a shop my deskmate specifically asked to visit – Paris’ only store is right in Le Marais. Their bracelets let you mix and match metal rings and leather cords, with incredible design sense~ I couldn’t resist buying a bracelet and a ring too. 🛁 Mas du Roseau Paris | A must-buy for niche fragrance lovers We couldn’t walk past this store! 🍫 The essential oil soaps in various colors and scents come in eco-friendly, exquisite packaging. Even though we kept saying our luggage would be overweight, we still couldn’t help checking out.🥗🥗 🌸 Fragonard | Finally got the "Belle de Nuit" body lotion! We couldn’t get enough in the south of France, and then we stumbled upon a second store in Le Marais! Snapped up the "Belle de Nuit" body lotion I’d been coveting, and now I’m eyeing the diamond perfume 💎. 👗 L’Appartement Sezane | French style ☘️☘️inspiration Popped into this (internet-famous) store on the way. The shirts and knitwear are so French chic – finally, no need for (daigou, buying on behalf)! The sweaters are stacked by color on an entire wall 🛍️. ☕ Sevenly Heart | Instagram-worthy café It’s so popular that the shop gets a bit crowded. Tried the mint chocolate and red velvet hot cocoa – both on the sweet side. 🥗 The gray-and-white industrial style of the shop is great for photos. 🛍️ Merci | The Parisian general store you can’t miss Famous for their canvas bags, designer jewelry, niche beauty products, home goods... 🙉 This concept store will make you (shop till your legs ache)! 🍷 JJ Beaumarchais | 4.8-star French restaurant on Google Found this high-rated restaurant while pinning spots – it’s right across from Merci, a 3-minute walk away. 🌺🌺 So we made a reservation in advance. Dinner has 4 or 5 courses, and lunch is more affordable. We ordered wine to pair, and the dinner was totally worth it! 📌 Tips - The whole area is walkable. From the café to Merci, you can also loop back via the main road, where there are more shops and a livelier atmosphere. - It’s recommended to make restaurant reservations in advance. - Keep an eye on tax refund amounts when shopping. 💃 That’s the magic of Le Marais – even when you’re just wandering, you always run into surprises around the corner! #Paris #ParisTravel #LeMaraisParis #ParisFood #ParisShopping
