A Hidden Mediterranean Gem in Downtown
🌟Went to a “new” place recently It’s not exactly new; I’ve celebrated my birthday at their downtown location before and absolutely loved it. This time, I visited their other spot on 24th Street, and it didn’t disappoint either! 🌟I thought it was a casual eatery based on the menu (which is quite small) from Yelp, but the actual meal was a pleasant surprise. 🚨🚨 High recommendation for their pickled white anchovies! They look like canned fish but taste completely different! The fish is tender, and paired with my favorite taralli, an Italian cracker, it’s super flavorful. 🌟The Bluefin tuna crudo is also fantastic! (This is from the menu on the wall, which changes regularly). The fish is soft and glutinous, and the Japanese yuzu kosho sauce complements the seafood flavor, making it very refreshing. 🌟The Navarro bowl is super healthy. It’s a mix of various grains and tubers, but the flavors are so layered. I took the waiter’s suggestion and added scallops, which were cooked to perfection and had a buttery texture. 🌟Compared to these dishes, my teammate’s tuna sandwich was a bit underwhelming, but it’s still above average for the sandwiches we’ve tried. 🌟Overall, all the dishes had a distinct Mediterranean feel, not too greasy or cheesy (maybe this is the secret to the Mediterranean people’s longevity). Anyway, highly recommended! (If you’re looking for a more fine dining experience, their downtown location is also highly recommended!) #FeelingDocumentary #ThisTemplateHasSomething #ArizonaLife #RestaurantRecommendations #AtmosphericRestaurant #PhoenixDiningExploration #Italian #HappyYearOfTheDragon
