A Hidden Retro Bar in the Basement of Chinatown ๐ฎ
Tonight, I visited Ye's Apothecary, also known as Nightingale, in Chinatown. ๐๐ธ This basement bar is decorated in a style reminiscent of 1970s and 1980s Shanghai nights, with red wine and green lights, creating a very atmospheric vibe. ๐ Their cocktails are all very Chinese-inspired. We ordered their signature Apothecary special, where the waiter asks for our preferred ingredients and flavors. ๐๐ธ Then, the bartender mixes us a one-of-a-kind cocktail based on our mood. ๐ฅ The bartender even pours it right in front of us, which adds a great sense of ceremony. This drink has a base of white liquor and the refreshing aroma of coconut milk. It's really delicious!๐๐ป There's also a cocktail called "Yuanyang" that's very tasty. It has a milky flavor with a hint of coffee and orange sweetness. ๐๐ธ Their bar snacks are also great, with an Asian twist. We had sweet and sour pork ribs, duck rolls, and pork belly, all of which paired perfectly with their cocktails. It was so satisfying.๐ ๐๐ธ Address: 119 Orchard St, New York, NY 10002 #NewYork ๐๐
