A Hotel Gem! 💎🏨

We just spent seven wonderful nights at the Meeting Street Inn! 🌟 This place offers incredible value considering its prime location, excellent amenities, and overall charming atmosphere. The combination of historic character and modern comforts makes it a standout choice in Charleston's competitive hotel landscape. ✅ Highlights: Location! The hotel sits in a perfect central spot among all downtown attractions and historic sites. 🗺️ We've stayed in this area before, including at the former Days Inn next door, but somehow Meeting Street Inn feels even more convenient and accessible. Everything we wanted to do was just steps away, making it easy to return during the day to drop off purchases or freshen up. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, featuring a lovely courtyard with a small swimming pool and fountain. 🏊‍♀️🌿 Our room felt warm and inviting – unlike sterile hotel rooms, it featured plush carpeting, carved wooden furniture, and a four-poster bed that made us feel like guests in someone's beautiful home. The bathroom layout was somewhat unusual but offered ample counter space and everything felt clean and recently updated. The included breakfast and snacks were fantastic! 🥐☕ Breakfast offered substantial options including hot items, pastries, cereal, yogurt with toppings, fruit, and various beverages. While we missed the wine and cheese hour, the evening milk and cookies became our favorite ritual! The lobby and courtyard also provided constant access to coffee, tea, water, and lemonade. ❎ Minor Drawbacks: The air conditioner was quite loud. 🌬️ Even during mild weather, it alternated between running constantly or cycling on and off every few minutes, which could be disruptive. Someone took all the cookies one night! 🍪 We arrived about 10 minutes after cookie time began to find only crumbs and half a glass of milk remaining. We were told a group of 5-6 people had taken them all – quite the cookie heist! Our room had a mysterious locked door that left us curious about where it might lead. 🚪 Fortunately, it remained closed throughout our stay. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again when visiting this area!
