A life changing experience!

Aloha! I just want to start off by saying that there are no words to describe the amount of gratitude I have for Hamakua Sanctuary. The sanctuary is such a special place, and it holds a deeply special place in my heart ❤️. I’ve met people who I now have lifelong connections with—friends who feel like family—and I’ve become an important part of their journeys, just as they’ve become an important part of mine. All of this is thanks to Ryan and the magic of Hamakua Sanctuary.​ I could go on for hours about how much fun I had, how exciting every moment was, or how much growth I experienced there, but I won’t. I won’t because there truly are no words to describe the depth of emotion I feel for this place and my time there. Adding more words would only muddy that pure, heartfelt feeling—and some feelings just can’t be put into words ✨. So I’ll keep this short and sweet.​ At the sanctuary, you’ll meet people you’ll grow eternally close with—connections that outlast the trip itself. More importantly, you’ll meet yourself: you’ll dig deeper, confront parts you didn’t know, and walk away as a better version of who you were before 🌱. The amount of growth and learning—about yourself, others, and how the world weaves together—is immense. It can feel overwhelming at times, but even that chaos is a gift, and I have nothing but gratitude for every bit of it.​ The experience I had at Hamakua Sanctuary was life-changing—it will forever shift the way I see the world and the people in it 🌍. I’m not the same person who arrived; I’m a new version, equipped with tools I learned there to keep growing, evolving, and showing up for myself every single day.​ If you’re thinking about going to Hamakua Sanctuary, I strongly recommend that you do. You’ll have the most positive, fun, and exciting journey—one that feeds your soul—and you’ll meet the coolest, kindest people along the way. Ryan has become such an important figure in my life, too; he’s an incredible, one-of-a-kind man, and I’ve never met anyone quite like him. I’m beyond grateful for everything he’s helped me work through and the lasting mark he’s left on my heart.​ I will definitely be going back to Hamakua Sanctuary—to learn more, grow more, and soak up every bit of this beautiful life (and everything that comes with it).
