A Local-Only Eiffel Tower Route – Used by Friends Countless Times

🗼‼️ Don’t just set your GPS directly to the Eiffel Tower for photos! As a "fake local" in Paris, I’ve summed up this route. In summer, follow this 0-cost route to capture all the key beautiful angles of the Tower without retracing your steps. 🌟 You’ll not only admire the Tower but also enjoy a leisurely Seine-side city walk. I’d recommend this route to anyone. Distance: 30-minute walk Total time: Within 1.5 hours Timing: In August, sunset is around 9 PM. When we went on August 21st, the Tower lit up at 9:06 PM and sparkled for 5 minutes at 10:00 PM (it sparkles for 5 minutes every hour after lighting up). Spot 1: Trocadero Square [Distant Overlook of the Tower] In July and August, arrive at the square around 8 PM. The crowd is smaller then, and you’ll catch the sunset perfectly. Later, it gets much busier, making it hard to take nice photos of yourself. Wait at the square until around 9 PM to watch the Tower light up. Spot 2: Rue Georges Pompidou [Tower with River View] Walk down from the square toward the river until you reach this road. Here, you’ll see the Tower framed by the river at a parallel angle – a great spot for night photos. Lots of people sit by the river here to enjoy the breeze – super romantic and relaxing. Spot 3: Pont de l’Alma [Tower River View] Head to Pont de l’Alma bridge. This is also a river-view spot, but the angle is slightly higher than the roadside. Spot 4: Eiffel Tower [Close-Up View] (Crowded, hard to get good shots) Walk down to the base of the Tower, and you’ll find crowds gathering to take photos. The night view here is bright, but it’s tough to capture the Tower’s full view. Spot 5: Rue Buenos-Ayres (the lane with Le Castel Cafe) [Tower Side View] Wander slowly, enjoying the scenery and taking photos. Try to reach here by 9:55 PM, then wait for the 10:00 PM sparkle – perfect for a photo. 💫 Once you finish the route, walk down this street and find a highly-rated bistrot or cafe to grab a drink and relax. Bonus Tips: 🔸 See the Tower from the metro On Line 6, between Bir-Hakeim and Passy stations, there’s a 20+ second stretch with a direct river view – I think this view is really unique. 🔸 Overlook Paris from a distance The top-floor terrace of Galeries Lafayette has a free viewing platform. On a nice day, it’s great for photos – you can see the distant Tower and take in the entire Paris cityscape. #FrenchLife #EiffelTower #BestEiffelTowerViews #ParisTravelGuide #ParisPhotoSpots
