A Massive Art And Design Fair Is Coming To Fort Mason Center With Over 60 Galleries
Every January, a massive design and art fair takes over Fort Mason Center. FOG Design + Art is in its 12th edition, spanning Pier 2 and 3, featuring exhibits from over 60 major galleries. The fair runs for three days, with an elegant Preview Gala kicking off the festivities on January 21 . This year’s fair will include 16 new gallerie s as part of FOG FOCUS, which is dedicated to showcasing emerging artists. Visitors can expect a blend of art and design exhibitors, along with a marketplace and educational talks. Participating galleries are from all around the world, including New York, Mexico City, London, and of course, San Francisco. You can expect 20 international galleries participating, while also spotting plenty of local artwork. > “Each year, FOG brings together an extraordinary group of galleries whose innovation and vision define the evolving landscape of design and contemporary art,” said Sydney Blumenkranz, Director of FOG Design+Art. “The 2026 exhibitors embody the spirit of curiosity and collaboration that makes FOG such a vital part of the Bay Area’s cultural community.” Aside from the various exhibitions, you can also attend multiple talks focused on art and design, with topics on AI and art, public artworks, and conversations with designers and artists. FOG is part of SF Art Week , which showcases San Francisco’s art community every January. You can expect various events throughout the week, including poetry readings , special exhibitions, showcases from the ICA, and more. The Preview Gala gives guests early access to the fair, complete with entertainment, craft cocktails, and food. The gala benefits SFMOMA’s educational programs, and tickets start at $250.
