A Must-Try Restaurant for Meat Lovers to Enjoy with Friends 🍖👯♂️
After trying various Southeast Asian cuisines, I discovered that Filipino food is also very satisfying for those who love hearty, savory flavors—much like Chinese tastes! 🍚🥢 Their dishes tend to be on the saltier side, and many feature pork, somewhat similar to Northern Chinese cuisine. Though it might not sound the healthiest, indulging once in a while with friends is absolutely worth it! 😋💥 Family Platter If you’re dining with a group, this platter is highly recommended! As you can see from the photo, the portion is huge and includes all their signature dishes. We went with four people and still couldn’t finish it! Everyone has different preferences, but personally, I loved the fried fish—cooked perfectly, tender and not fishy at all, especially with the dipping sauce it came with. 🐟✨ My friends enjoyed the BBQ pork and chicken skewers, which were full of flavor. We all agreed that the lumpia (spring rolls) were delicious—crispy on the outside, well-seasoned, and not greasy. Lechon Kawali Crispy fried pork belly! Let’s be honest—many cuisines have their version of pork belly, but the Filipino style stands out because it’s deep-fried to an extra-crispy texture. 🧡 The dipping sauce (not pictured) is tangy and slightly sweet, which balances the richness of the meat perfectly. Sisig I forgot to take a photo at Tambayan, so I’ve included one from another restaurant (“At My Place”—another highly recommended Filipino spot) since their sisig looks very similar. This dish is a must-try for pork lovers! It’s made with chopped pork belly sizzled on a hotplate with onions and peppers—crispy, juicy, and savory. A squeeze of lemon juice cuts through the richness and makes it an ideal dish to eat with rice. 🍋🍚 Overall, if you’re hanging out with a meat-loving crew, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. Sharing these flavorful, generous dishes makes the meal fun and satisfying! Of course, if you’re especially focused on authentic taste, I’d also recommend “At My Place” in Chandler—a small, family-run spot owned by a Filipino auntie. We ordered similar dishes at both places, and my Filipino friend felt “At My Place” had a slightly more traditional touch. 👩🍳💖 Restaurant Name: Tambayan Filipino Food Address: 1534 W Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85015 Rating: Highly recommended for groups and meat enthusiasts! #MyFoodDiary #UnforgettableMeals #ASU #ArizonaFood #PhoenixEats #FilipinoCuisine #ComfortFood #FoodShare #MeatLovers #GroupDining #FoodieAdventure #TrySomethingNew #LocalEats #SavorTheFlavor
