A New Late-Night Feast in SF!
Tried this spot over the weekend and instantly thought β itβs perfect for group hangs with drinks π» or just a cozy, satisfying BBQ meal. Their grilled items are delicious, affordable, and easily top-tier among BBQ joints in the area (disclaimer: still a couple of new places left to try!). We ordered a bunch of skewers, and almost everything was a hit! Service was quick, too. Leaving some notes for my future self: ππ» Loved: Squid Tentacles β Tender, chewy, with that sizzling teppanyaki vibe! π¦ Pork Neck β Juicy and lean, not fatty at all π₯© Chicken Feet β Super soft and sticky, highly recommend! And just $4.99 for 4 π± Cauliflower β Well-spiced and tasty! ππ» Solid: Oysters, Large Intestine, Quail Eggs, Battered Tofu (great texture, could use more seasoning), Pork Trotter, Lamb Skewers π π»ββοΈ Not for Me: Chicken Skin β Too dry and cut into overly large pieces. Originally went for the grilled fish after seeing pics online, but ended up trying the Spicy Bullfrog Pot instead! πΈ You can choose your spice level β we went with mild, and it was flavorful without being overwhelming. The red oil looked super appetizing, and the portion was generous. You can add side dishes too β just a heads-up, the kelp in the pot was a bit firm at first but softened after simmering. (PS: Took leftovers home, and it tasted even better the next day β so much more infused with flavor!!) Wrapped things up with Egg Fried Rice β the perfect BBQ companion, just like how it goes with hot pot. Anyone else get it? π Prices are fair, and the staff were super attentive ποΈ. They also have a completely free snack bar! Iβm obsessed with their seasoned fried peanuts and crispy rice crackers. There are sweet options like ice jelly, silver fungus soup, and fruits β didnβt try those this time, but honestly, the free snacks alone are worth revisiting for! (Next time, Iβm trying their dry pot series β has anyone had their Braised Pig Trotters or Duck Webs?
