A Peaceful Day at the Edo Tokyo Architectural Garden (1)🌿

🍃I spent one of the most peaceful days in Tokyo at the Edo Tokyo Architectural Garden. 🌇 Although still within the boundaries of Tokyo, the spatial shift from Shinjuku to Koganei Park seems to also transport people back in time from the Reiwa era to the Tokugawa period. 🕰️ 🚢Walking through Koganei Park, what unfolds before your eyes is a scene of Edo-style elements that have "grown" at the intersection of townspeople's customs, Zen philosophy, and the blending of Eastern and Western cultures. 🍃It is secular yet transcendent, nostalgic yet modern, and complex yet orderly. 🏰🍃 Looking back, one can still catch a glimpse of the sparks before the Meiji Restoration and the influx of Western influences in some of the details. 🚢 It feels as if just one black ship arriving at the port would set off a wave that would sweep across all of Japan. 🍃Whether people at that time were willing or not, they would be caught up in the tide of history. 🚢💥 Additionally, these buildings seem to have been dismantled from their original locations and rebuilt here (please feel free to enlighten me in the comments). 🚢 So, calling it "Tokyo's Hengdian" might not be quite appropriate, after all, the sound of history passing through "shells" and "substances" is still different. #Tokyo 🌟
