A Perfect Day in Fremantle šļøāØ
We didnāt follow the usual route of pairing Rottnest Island with Fremantleāinstead, we dedicated a whole Sunday to exploring this charming port town! Arrived around 9:30 AM, left at 5 PM, and clocked in 28,000 stepsāproof of a day well-spent! š Getting There Took the train from Perth Stationāstaff noticed us puzzling over ticket prices and helped us snag a Family Pass ($10.40 for 2 adults + up to 3 kids, unlimited round trips!). The ride was smooth, clean, and dropped us right at Fremantle Station. š Highlights š Two quirky secondhand bookshops (bookworm heaven!). šØ Art galleries (local creativity on display). šļø Fremantle Prison (skipped the tour but admired the imposing facade). š” Park under the Ferris Wheel (whimsical pitstop). šļø Weekend Markets (buzzing with crafts, food, and live music!). ā The Round House (oldest building in WA + killer ocean views!). š Moment of Reflection: Passed a park where kids played soccer while parents cheered. "This is what weekends should be," we sighedāno cram schools, just sunshine and laughter. (A bittersweet thought for many Chinese students back home.) š½ļø Lunch with a View Ate at Cicerelloās (famous for seafood!). Tried their lobster (good, but the fish & chips stole the show!). Sat by the marina, watching yachts and seagullsāpeak Aussie vibes. š Bonus Surprise: Spotted an old freight train hauling dozens of containersārandom but cool! š Back in Perth... By 6 PM, the city was eerily quietāshops closed, streets empty. Even supermarkets here keep short hours (11 AMā5 PM on weekends). Perfect excuse for an early night! #PerthDiaries #FremantleExplored #SlowTravel #WeekendVibes #NoRushJustChill #WesternAustralia #TravelGram
