A Pleasant Dining Experience in Pittsburgh: Umami

⭐️Despite many friends saying it wasn't that great before I went, my actual experience at Umami turned out to be quite good. I visited several times in 2019 and had a good impression each time. The dark-haired waitress was as sweet as honey, saying we looked familiar and that our grilled fish was a good choice... Regardless of whether it was true or not, it was pleasing to hear. The food was also great, and we had a very enjoyable meal throughout! ⭐️Whole Branzino, a robatayaki-style European sea bass. It has to be said that fish is best eaten with skin and bones for the full experience! The skin was smoked to perfection with a rich flavor, and after being brushed with teriyaki sauce, it had a shiny appearance with crispy skin and tender meat. The only downside is that you have to pick out the bones one by one, which might be considered a disadvantage or an advantage. It's probably more of an advantage, allowing you to leisurely chat with friends while eating. ⭐️Shio Ramen, a pork rib soy sauce ramen. The noodles were chewy and smooth, and the soup was enriched with soy milk, making it rich and not greasy. The three pork ribs were marbled with fat and lean, but they were not well-marinated, having only an outer layer of smoked flavor, and the meat inside needed to be paired with the noodle soup to enhance the taste. ⭐️Sashimi plate. There's nothing particularly impressive about it; it's neither exceptionally fatty and delicious nor too lean and dry, so it's something you can eat or skip. #PittsburghDiningGuide #WhatToDoInPittsburgh #PittsburghTravel #PittsburghFunAndDine
