A Portal from Manhattan to Nordic Wonderland
In Midtown, there's this hidden gem that's a restaurant, a cafe, a gift shop, and even a cultural center with performances and exhibitions! It's a paradise for Nordic culture enthusiasts. 🌟 🌊🎢 The Christmas season is the perfect time for Nordic cuisine. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a festive atmosphere, and even the patrons are wearing Christmas-themed sweaters. 🎄 I loved every dish I tried, especially the short ribs, which were incredibly tender and melted in the mouth. 🍃🌺 The mashed potatoes paired with crispy mushroom slices were a delightful combination. If you're unsure what to order, go for the Smörgasbord Plate (Gravlax, mustard sauce, pickled herring, herb herring, Jansson's temptation, red beet salad, 3 meatballs, lingonberries, pickled cucumber, boiled potatoes). 🌊🎢 My favorite was Jansson's temptation—a creamy potato and onion salad topped with crispy bread crumbs. It's so rich! The different flavors of herring, some tangy and some salty, really stimulate the taste buds. 🍃🌺 The meatballs are soft, the beets are refreshing, and the cheese and nuts have a deep flavor. It's a platter worth savoring. I also tried the Smörre Bröd with Gravlax & Honey Mustard Sauce. The fatty and tender salmon paired with honey mustard was quite nice. 🌊🎢 Björk Cafe & Bistro 58 Park Ave, New York, NY 10016 #NYCEatingDrinkingFun #NYCLife 🌟🌟
