A Pretty Good Italian Restaurant • Olive Garden
💗 Today, I had pasta! This location is near Polo Park, right next to Red Lobster. 🌟 Their specialty is that with every pasta order, you get unlimited breadsticks and either salad or soup. There’s only one type of salad, but it’s light and refreshing—perfect for cutting through the richness. For soup, there are four options. My favorite is the Zuppa Toscana ✅—a creamy soup with Italian sausage, potatoes, and veggies. Chicken and Gnocchi is another creamy option, featuring dumplings similar to dough balls. The soup is tasty, but the gnocchi is too filling. The other two are tomato-based soups with lots of beans 🫘, which aren’t really my thing. 🍝 For pasta, I highly recommend P4! If you love creamy pasta, you have to try their Alfredo-based dishes. I got the Shrimp Alfredo ✅—their Alfredo sauce is super rich and creamy. It might get a bit heavy after a while, but the first few bites are pure bliss. So good! 🍝The Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara ✅. The chicken’s batter was way too thick—almost masking the chicken itself—but the flavor was savory with bell peppers. If you’re not into creamy sauces, this one’s a solid choice—still tasty but not overwhelming. 🍝The Tour of Italy ❎, which comes with a fried chicken cutlet, lasagna, and fettuccine Alfredo. This time, the lasagna was oddly watery, the Alfredo sauce wasn’t as rich as the standalone dish, and the chicken was tough. Wouldn’t recommend this one. 🍝 The appetizer Shrimp Fritto Misto ✅—so good! Fried shrimp, calamari, plus some bell peppers and onions. You know the joy of fried food! 💕 Overall, it’s a great spot—fast service, unlimited salad/soup refills, and perfect for gatherings with family or friends. 📍 Address: 1544 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3G 0W9 #WinnipegFood #HiddenGemRestaurant #WinnipegPasta #WinnipegItalianRestaurant #WinnipegFoodExploration #CreamyPasta #Pasta #ILovePasta #FoodieLife #WinnipegLife
