A Progressive Morning Stroll Along the High Line ๐ ๐ฟ
The High Line, a former abandoned freight railway elevated 9 meters above the ground, was ingeniously transformed into an aerial walkway in 2009! ๐โจ ๐ฟ๐ธ The High Line has multiple entrances. I started my journey at the 30th Street entrance, known as the โVesselโ ๐ณ, and walked all the way to the 14th Street entrance, โLittle Islandโ ๐๏ธ. The entire walkway stretches 1.45 miles (2.3 kilometers), and it takes about 30 minutes to walk one way. I believe the transformation of the High Line is incredibly successful. It offers people living in this concrete jungle of New York a space to escape the hustle and bustle. ๐ฟ๐ธ Firstly, being elevated gives a sense of detachment from the crowds below. Secondly, the park is lush with greenery ๐บ, and the plants and flowers are meticulously arranged, even featuring some rare and exotic species. Lastly, there are plenty of spots and facilities where you can grab a bite or a drink, and relax your feet. ๐ฟ๐ธ In short, the High Line is an iconic and must-visit attraction in New York. ๐๐ #NewYork ๐ฝ
