A Recommendation for Bath's Most Serene Garden! 🏛️🌳
In the heart of Bath, there are several gardens of various sizes, including the Parade Park that visitors see at first glance, the Victoria Park that often hosts large events, and the green spaces and private gardens near the Royal Crescent, among others. But the one I visit most frequently is 👉 Henrietta Park, located on Pulteney Street! This park has a magical power to quickly bring about tranquility and gentleness, which I personally believe is mainly due to: 🌱 Few people. The garden is located on a road next to the core tourist area, surrounded mostly by residents. Although there are 4 entrances, not many people actually pass through them. It feels like there are never more than 10 people in this four-hectare area... It's truly an oversized community garden! 🌱 Tall and numerous trees with a rich variety. There are not many cherry blossom trees in Bath, but this park has four large ones, likely of three different varieties. In addition to oak, beech, birch, and others, there is a huge purple rock-dwelling tree right in the middle that is a National Champion😌. 🌱 Clear visibility, which is very important! Apart from the trees, the park only has benches and trash bins, as is the case with many parks in the UK. One's gaze can just pass through the lowest branches to see dogs in the distance, people walking, and it feels like the space above your head is pressing down, but not with anything else, just greenery, surrounded by green, and wherever you look, there is only quietness and safety. 🥰 Finally, the most treasured spot - the park's meditation area 👉 Sensory Garden, a garden for the senses. The park as a whole opened to the public in 1897, but this small garden opened in 1936 as a memorial garden for George V. As the name suggests, it provides a rich sensory experience and an extremely quiet environment. My favorite thing is that the flowers here bloom almost uninterrupted throughout the year, except in winter (I hate winter😡), and there are always colorful flowers in other seasons🥰. The most beautiful time is from May to June when several aged 🤍 white wisteria, white roses, and 💜 purple irises and lavender come together to make early summer very refreshing. Another advantage is that there are very few pigeons and seagulls here!!!! A well-deserved blessing for outdoor dining🙂. #Bath #BathTravel #EnglishGardens
