We cannot stop raving about our wonderful, though too brief, stay at 20 South Battery! This magnificent house embodies incredible history, filled with stories of the past and adorned with precious antiques. Each room felt like stepping into a fairy tale, beautifully blending historic charm with modern comforts. We stayed in the Simmons Suite – spacious, comfortable, and utterly romantic! (And no, it wasn't haunted – those rooms are in the carriage house!) 👻💫 We were warmly greeted by the host upon arrival, who made us feel instantly welcome (his dog Maverick was equally charming!). Abigail was an absolute treasure – so friendly and warm-hearted that we could have talked with her all day! 🐶❤️ The location couldn't be better – right across from White Point Garden (where we witnessed a wedding in the gazebo!), and within easy walking distance of King Street shopping and East Bay Street restaurants. 🛍️🌳 Don't miss the house tours (11 AM, 3 PM, and 7 PM) and the 5 PM manager's reception featuring cheese and charcuterie – you can bring your own wine, though they also provide non-alcoholic options. Breakfast, ordered the night before, was simple but delicious – though I'd suggest adding a basket of scones or bread to complement the main dishes. 🧀☕ Sitting on the front porch is an absolute must – watching Charleston unfold before our eyes was magical!
