A Secret Park Hidden Next to the Palace of Versailles👀

✔️After visiting so many palaces in Europe, I felt a bit visually overwhelmed by places like the Palace of Versailles. I took a quick stroll around and then left. But I had come all the way from Paris by train, and I didn’t want to leave Versailles just like that. ✔️I searched on Google Maps, and discovered a huge park right next to the Palace of Versailles. No admission fee required, and it features a large artificial lake, covering over 15 hectares, dug by the Swiss Guards between 1679 and 1682. ✔️This is also the origin of the lake’s name, Pièce d’Eau des Suisses. Surrounded by lush greenery, take a leisurely walk on the forest paths, occasionally passing by people jogging and cheerful dogs. Sit by the lake, enjoy the breeze, and unwind, watching swans glide by and listening to the gentle strumming of a guitar, while gazing at the Palace of Versailles in the distance, spending this lazy and long afternoon together. 🫧 #FranceTravel #PalaceOfVersailles #ParisTravelTips #Paris #France #EuropeTravel #OffTheBeatenPath #ParisianLife #ParisTravel #ExchangeSpring
