A Shanghainese Delight in New York Downtown 🌟

Today, while out exploring for something to eat, I remembered the sign for “Shanghai Longtang” that I see every day on my way home. It’s super close to the NYU main campus. 🎢 On a whim, I walked in out of curiosity, and I was so pleasantly surprised! It feels like a brand-new place—so new that I can’t even find it on Instagram or WeChat. 📸 🌟Entrance photo Scallion Noodles and Braised Lion’s Head 🌸 An incredibly Shanghainese wine cabinet that instantly transported me back to Shaanxi South Road. 🍷 The owner is from Shanghai, and when he found out I’m also from there, he generously offered me a drink. He mentioned that he doesn’t believe in serving fortune cookies in a Chinese restaurant, so he orders White Rabbit milk candies from Shanghai instead.
