A St. Louis Fine Dining Experience 🎂

For my birthday this year, I made a reservation at The Crossing, a well-established fine dining restaurant in St. Louis. This place is a local favorite, known for its atmosphere, service, and food—perfect for celebrating special occasions! We opted for the 7-course tasting menu, skipped the wine pairing, but ordered four cocktails separately. The total bill, including tip, came to $460 for two. While it’s not exactly cheap, the overall experience was absolutely worth it ✨. Since I mentioned it was my birthday when booking, a handwritten birthday card was waiting on the table when we arrived 🎉. Little touches like this really make a difference and set the mood perfectly! As for the food, all seven courses were distinct and memorable. The tuna tartare and grilled quail stood out for their rich layers of flavor. Two pasta dishes were also excellent—one even had a hint of Chinese fusion, almost like it was made with fermented bean paste, which was surprisingly harmonious and appetizing 😋. Service was attentive and seamless. Each dish was introduced with details about ingredients and preparation (though we were too busy eating to listen carefully 😅). Plates and cutlery were promptly changed after every course, and the pacing felt just right—never rushed. At the end, the restaurant kindly served five different fruit sorbets as a refreshing finish—light, clean, and the perfect conclusion to the meal. Although each course was modest in size, seven dishes later, we were happily full 🥰. Overall, The Crossing is an excellent choice for celebrating important moments. With its elegant setting, thoughtful service, and creative dishes, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in St. Louis! #StLouisLife #StLouisFood #StLouisEats #FineDining #BirthdayDinner #FoodDiary #FoodieAdventures
