A Stroll Through Tsukiji, Ginza, and Shinbashi on a Day Off 🌿
Today was sunny but with a chilly north wind. 🌊🎢 Three of us—one adult and two middle school students—spent five hours wandering and eating our way through Tsukiji Market, Ginza, and Shinbashi. We spent about 10,000 yen (around 480 yuan), once again feeling the impact of rising prices. 🌡️ 🌟🌸 Tsukiji Market: The area outside the market was bustling with many Western tourists. Octopus Balls (Takoyaki) Shop: The flagship store had a long line. 🌊🎢 A unique feature is that the dried bonito flakes used as seasoning are freshly shaved on the spot. 🍖 🌇🌿Street Performers in Ginza: It was rare to see street performers on the streets of Ginza. 🎶 First Visit to Meitetsu Sushi: No surprise, it was packed. Definitely the star of the food street. 🌟🌸 I used to frequent the branch in Seibu Department Store in Ikebukuro, which was delicious and very affordable. Today was my first time at the flagship store, and the prices were a bit higher than expected. 🌇🌿 I wonder if it's because it's located near Ginza (with many tourists carrying suitcases) or if it's just the recent surge in prices. 🍣 #Tokyo 🌇 #TsukijiMarket 🌿
