A Sweet Little Gem 🧁💎
My husband and I recently found ourselves in the neighborhood and decided to pop in—and what a delightful decision that turned out to be! We clearly weren’t the only ones with the same idea. The takeout line was already winding out the door 🚶♀️🚶♂️, so we opted to sit down and soak in the cozy, old-school atmosphere. With so many tempting choices, we let our hearts (and sweet tooth) lead the way. We ordered: 2 Cannoli – filled with sweet, creamy ricotta 1 slice of Italian Cheesecake – classic and comforting 2 Lobster Tails 🦞 – one chocolate, one vanilla (so flaky and buttery!) 1 Sfogliatella – that iconic shell-shaped pastry with crisp layers and citrus-infused ricotta 1 Latte ☕ – smooth and aromatic 1 Diet Coke – because balance, right? 😉 Of course, we couldn’t finish everything there, so we happily brought several treats back to our hotel room for a late-night indulgence. My husband adored the Italian cheesecake—creamy, not too sweet, with a delicate crumb. I fell in love with the Sfogliatella—its crisp, layered pastry wrapped around zesty citrus cream was an absolute revelation. The cannoli were good, though if I’m being honest, they didn’t quite steal the show. But that’s only because we’ve been spoiled by freshly filled ones in the past. Still, totally enjoyable! I’ve always had a soft spot for historic bakeries, and Veeniero’s Pasticceria & Caffè delivered exactly the kind of authentic, time-honored experience I cherish. From the vintage display cases to the fragrant espresso and the sound of happy chatter, it felt like stepping into a sweet slice of New York history. 🗽 Sweet Memories to Savor We left with full hearts, a box of pastries, and the certainty that we’d be back. Next time I’m in New York, you’ll know where to find me—with a sfogliatella in one hand and a latte in the other, soaking in every buttery, sugary moment. #VeneeriosNYC #HistoricBakery #ItalianPastries #SfogliatellaLove #NYCSweetSpots
