A Taste of French Home-Style Cooking in Napa

📍 Bistro Jeanty, Yountville 🇫🇷 A Michelin-recommended French bistro serving traditional classics made with fresh ingredients. Located right next to the one-Michelin-starred Bouchon Bistro, but we chose Bistro Jeanty for its better value and wider menu variety. We were so full halfway through the main course that we didn’t even have room for dessert! 😳 👉 Crême de Tomate en Croute $14.5 👍 A flaky, buttery puff pastry covering a mildly tangy and creamy tomato soup. Break the crust and dip right in! 👉 Escargots $17.5 Tender garlic-butter snails served sizzling hot! The garlic and butter aroma was gentle but inviting. 👉 Joue de Boeuf Aux Carottes $28 👍👍👍 Braised beef cheek that literally melts in your mouth! The thin layers of fat between the meat dissolve effortlessly. Sweet peas add freshness, and the mashed potatoes soaked in the rich beef sauce are a must-try. No waste here! 👉 Cassoulet $32 👍👍 A hidden gem—confit duck topped with crispy fried garlic. The duck was perfectly balanced—rich but not greasy. Hidden under a hearty layer of apple-bacon-baked beans was a smoky pork sausage. The duck leg was slightly dry in comparison, but still tasty. ✨ Dishes to try next time: Dungeness Crab Soufflé Steak Tartare Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding Has anyone tried these? Let me know! 👇🥂 #BayAreaEats #NapaFood #FrenchBistro #MichelinEats #FoodieReview #BistroJeanty
