A Train Depot-turned-Restaurant Recommended 🚂

**la Falicita**, in the 13th district. It’s called a restaurant, but it’s actually a food hall. Set in a sunken area, the exterior has been largely untouched, preserving the original form of the train depot. The structure is entirely unadorned and exposed, giving it a bit of a Brutalist vibe. 🏰 I don’t know much about Paris, and I was genuinely surprised to see so many concrete buildings in the suburbs. Raw, wild, and unpolished, it’s completely different from the refined and elegant image of France I had in mind. 🤔 The building is currently divided into two parts by a truncated lobby: one for offices and the other for the dining area. The dining area is warmly decorated with wood, soft lighting, green plants, and colorful patterned carpets. Each stall is like a small box scattered around the square. 🌿 They serve pizza, pasta, beer, ice cream, and other Italian dishes. The main courses are around 13 euros and taste amazing. The pizza crust is thin and chewy, the ham is thinly sliced, oily, salty, and flavorful. The pasta is served on a whole mozzarella cheese base, with tomatoes and a mild, slightly sweet cheese that pairs perfectly. The atmosphere is so great that after lunch, we just didn’t want to leave. We ended up staying for another beer until almost sunset. 🍻 Every time I catch a native speaker, I have to learn a few phrases before letting them go —— _“c'est tellement beau ici”_ (it’s so beautiful here). I’m seriously considering the possibility of taking a French course, even just A1 level, before leaving Germany. 📚 #ItalianFood #Brunch #Foodie #EatingInParis #Paris13thDistrict #ParisianEats #RepurposedWarehouseRestaurant #FrenchCuisine
