🏨 A Unique Stay in Charleston – Quirky & Memorable!

Located just west of the Savannah Highway Bridge connecting to downtown Charleston, this hotel offers a truly one-of-a-kind experience. While there aren’t many amenities within walking distance outside the hotel, you’ll find everything you need inside: a top-floor restaurant and a small convenience shop downstairs. Plus, there’s plenty of free parking—a major bonus! 🚗🎉 The building itself is fascinating—a 14-story circular structure shaped like a corn silo, with two elevators in the center and rooms arranged in a loop around them. And in true American tradition, there’s no 13th floor! 😄 The view from the top-floor restaurant (and practically all upper floors) is absolutely spectacular—especially at sunset. 🌆👀 Breakfast is included in the stay, though it’s worth noting that staff politely request a “tip” each morning, even for the self-serve buffet (for “service” like juice and coffee refills). Also, unlike some hotels, they don’t provide complimentary bottled water in the rooms. 🍳🥤💸 Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed—though a bit on the higher side. Storage space was ample, and we appreciated the small, quiet mini-fridge and the handy nightlight. We turned off the AC at night, so we can’t comment on how it operates, but we slept just fine. 😴🛏️ That said, a few quirks stood out: the shower curtain wasn’t great, leaving the floor flooded after every use. The toilet auto-flushed every few minutes, and the door to the bathroom area was noisy and hard to open and close.
