A Week of Two Classic New York Italian Restaurants 🌟
(I might be the only person in New York who thinks Torrisi is better than Carbone.) 🍝 🌟 But first, let me set the stage! Both restaurants are great! After all, they’re from the same group. 🌇 Carbone has an amazing atmosphere that’s perfect for a date. It feels like you’re surrounded by New York’s old money. 🌟 🌟Torrisi is more suited for a casual drink with a few friends. It’s also great for lunch! 🍖 When we visited Carbone, they happened to be filming and even had us sign a waiver. 🎬 Let’s talk about the food! My favorite dishes at Carbone are the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and Baked Clams. And their pre-meal bread? It’s divine! The rest was just okay, and after eating there, I felt like it wasn’t worth the hassle of booking again. 🍖 🌟 Three days after Carbone, I managed to snag a reservation for Torrisi the next day and couldn’t wait to compare! I fell in love with Torrisi. The restaurant’s vibe isn’t as dim as Carbone’s, making it perfect for chilling with friends and having a chat. My favorite dishes are the Raviolini with Prawns and Saffron and Octopus Nha Trang. The Raviolini had this amazing taste reminiscent of Chinese meat dumplings—perfect for an Asian palate! 🍖 All in all, both places are fantastic, but I really don’t think it’s worth booking 3-4 weeks in advance. For my Chinese stomach, the noodles and spicy stir-fries from the place downstairs are just as satisfying. 😇 #PhotoTime #NewYorkLife #NewYork 🌇
