Accidentally Joining a High-End Couples Event with My Bestie 👭🎭

Crimes of Passion Museum Another weekend, another "what should we do?" day! 🌈✨ I stumbled upon an interactive museum in East Hollywood called "Crimes of Passion" and immediately got curious. The tickets were only sold in pairs 🎟️, so I thought it might be some kind of cooperative game – perfect for a fun day out with my bestie! The entrance was super hidden – just a small door with a doorbell 🔔. We rang, and a staff member greeted us but asked us to wait outside until the couple ahead finished their first game. While waiting, there was a scavenger hunt activity on a display board, but it required reading lots of English descriptions... so we kinda skipped that part 😅. The first activity sent us into separate rooms to answer -test questions. Every question referred to the other person as "your partner" and asked about shared memories 🧠💞. That’s when we realized... this museum is totally designed for couples! And honestly, from start to finish, we didn’t see any other pair of friends – everyone was a couple LOL! 😂 Next up: a timed challenge with 11 mini-games ⏳, and our wrists were handcuffed together! Some tasks required strong English skills, so we skipped a few and focused on the hands-on ones. The time was tight – we didn’t finish all, but it was still fun! Then we entered the main exhibition area – a maze-like space with small themed rooms. Each spot had display panels (facts, stories, polls) or interactive games. You could jump into any empty station! A few games that stood out: ⚡ Electric Chair: Real mild electric currents – intensity 1 to 9. We stopped at 3! But some visitors wrote on the wall they reached max – respect! 🔮 Tarot Cards: Drew past/present/future cards and interpreted them using a guidebook. Surprisingly accurate for me! 💓 Lie Detector: Actually a heart-rate measurer. Not super scientific, but they had fun Q&A prompts to ask each other. 🧪 Lab Station: Super detailed setup! Meant for couples to "sample" each other’s fingerprints, lip prints, hair, ear shapes… My bestie and I just did our own 😅. 🎨 Killer Art: Match artworks to criminal profiles. Loved the one with the cute cat 🐱! 👃 Scent Guessing: Blindfolded sniffing – some wild smells, we guessed zero right! 🔫 Shooting Range: Staff-supervised, 6 bullets each. I missed all, my bestie hit one! You can keep your target sheet 🎯. Vibes-wise, this place is all about atmosphere and deepening connections. Every corner sparks deep chats – life stories, opinions, psychology, plus some creepy crime facts. We stayed over 2 hours and skipped some content. If you read everything and play every game, you could easily spend half a day here! Verdict: Super fun but definitely designed for couples.
