Acquerello | A Shining Two-Star Autumn Evening in SF ππ
Just dined at Quince (3 stars) not long ago, and now Acquerello totally won me over β itβs the kind of Italian fine dining youβd happily return to! π We started with a trio of appetizers: π₯§ Salmon Roe Tart π₯ Potato & Black Truffle Roll π¦’ Foie Gras Mousse Cone π½οΈ Course by Course π¦ Chilled Lobster Tender lobster paired with refreshing passionfruit sauce β a bright start! π₯ (Add-on) Royal Kaluga Caviar Served with potato and bacon β the crisp potato layer was pure texture perfection. π Glazed Black Cod The skin was wonderfully crispy, fish perfectly cooked, accompanied by a delicate smoked fish bone chicken broth. π Rabbit-filled Cappellacci Incredibly smooth rabbit filling inside delicate pasta, with a rich, creamy cheese sauce. π¦ Local Snail & Quail Aged for one week β the leg was juicy with a tangy sauce; the breast was slightly uneven (not as sublime as Quinceβs pigeon). π Foie Gras Pasta Black truffle and foie gras macaroni β delicious overall, though the sauce leaned a touch sweet (a signature style here). π Lamb Loin Cooked to a perfect medium-rare β juicy and well-spiced. The eggplant lamb roll had a stronger gamey note. π§ Pre-Dessert Rhubarb & ginger sorbet β clean and palate-cleansing. π Dessert Strawberry milk Bavarois β silky and lovely π Coffee-filled cake + a charming dessert cart! π΅ Price: ~$450+ per person after tax & tip π 1722 Sacramento St, San Francisco #Acquerello #MichelinStarSF #SFMichelin #FineDining #ItalianCuisine #BayAreaEats #TwoStarMichelin #FoodieDiary
