Addicted to the World - ๐ฎ๐ฉ Nusa Penida, Indonesia
This stunning island is a must-see. A day trip simply won't do it justice, so definitely avoid a one-day tour. Stay for at least three to four days and explore one beach at a time at a leisurely pace. The roads on the island are rough and uneven, so it's best not to rent a scooter. Hiring a car is the best optionโtime-saving, effortless, and safe. ๐ Kelingking Beach: The location for Apple's wallpaper. If it weren't for this beach, Bali might not have been on my itinerary. Despite seeing countless photos and videos before visiting, the real sight still took my breath away! It's a challenging, rugged, and somewhat dangerous path from the cliff down to the beach. Many people lack the courage to descend, but the journey down and the beach itself are the essence of Kelingking Beach. It takes over an hour to go up and down, which is physically demanding. So, I did my homework beforehand and booked a hotel just a few hundred meters from Kelingking Beach. This turned out to be an incredibly perfect choice. Not only did I enjoy the beach for a whole day, but I also witnessed the sunrise and sunset at Kelingking, and as a bonus, the night sky from the hotel was filled with a vast array of stars. The clear Milky Way was visible to the naked eye, which was incredibly moving. ๐ Diamond Beach: Another must-visit beach on Nusa Penida. The path down is easier than Kelingking, and the waves are smaller. If you're a strong swimmer, it's very refreshing to swim here, but be cautious of rip currents (I swam all day and didn't encounter any). ๐ Tree House: A very famous spot that was just for taking photos. It didn't yield as many impressive shots as Kelingking or Diamond Beach. ๐ Angel's Billabong: A naturally formed volcanic rock infinity pool. It's best not to go in, as there have been fatalities due to people being swept away each year. It's enough to just take some photos, and without a drone, it's hard to capture a great shot. ๐ Broken Beach: Features a stone arch that's perfect for checking in and taking photos. ๐ Manta Point: An excellent diving spot for seeing large manta rays and white-tip reef sharks. #Travel #AddictedtotheWorld #NusaPenida #KelingkingBeach #TravelPhotography #Indonesia
