Aegina Island Guide (Transportation Edition)

1️⃣ The fastest way to purchase tickets from Athens to Aegina Island is to download the Ferryhopper app. 2️⃣ Select your departure and return dates, as well as the port. 3️⃣ Choose the ferry schedule, add personal information, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click "go to payment" to proceed with the payment. Visa cards can be used for online payments. ⚠️ Note: Students studying in Greece can opt for student tickets, which are half price with a discount. 4️⃣ The electronic ticket (e-ticket) will be sent to your email, so make sure to check it. 5️⃣ Take the subway M3 to ΔΗΜΟΤΙΚΟ ΘΕΑΤΡΟ and arrive at Piraeus port. 6️⃣ Be aware that the port has different entrances. The entrance for the ticket I chose was E8, which can be located using Google Maps or on-site signs (pay attention to find it). After entering the port, find the ferry you purchased the ticket for. 🌟 If you prefer unspoiled natural scenery, the island of Moni, which is very close to Aegina, is worth a visit. But remember to buy water and food in advance on Aegina. Buy tickets on site at Aegina and take a small boat (be prepared for a rough ride, and it's recommended to bring seasickness medicine) to Moni Island, where you can see deer and peacocks amidst beautiful scenery.
