Affordable and Hearty Taiwanese Retro Shaved Ice

Right here in Cupertino! Recommended by my cousin, the flavors reminiscent of grandma’s cooking are available without needing to go to Taipei! Can it be under $10? It’s truly delicious! Two Syrups to Choose From ✨ Brown Sugar | Condensed Milk An Array of Toppings ✨ Red Beans | Taro Balls | Grass Jelly | White Kidney Beans | Mung Beans | Taro | Peanuts | Pineapple | Aiyu Jelly It’s not Korean-style soft shaved ice but more like a refreshing ice porridge, perfect for beating the heat! On a hot day, a bowl of this is pure bliss! The store offers four classic combinations for $12.99, with toppings overflowing. I highly recommend the taro balls (they have a filling!)—a must for those who love chewy textures! Recently, with the scorching heat, I’ve tried Korean viral snow ice shops like MandRo, Sulbing, and Naya... This Taiwanese retro ice shop, full of Chinese flavors, is truly the only one of its kind in the Bay Area! The store also has many traditional snacks: wheel cakes 🧇, salt-and-pepper chicken 🍗, old-fashioned pastries 🥪, Taiwanese rice balls, and bento boxes. The prices are affordable, and the value is high. It’s also convenient to take home for breakfast, lunch, or dinner on a workday (though I haven’t tried it yet, so I can’t vouch for the taste). #BayAreaEats #BayAreaWeekend #WhatToEatInBayArea #BayAreaFood
