Affordable Family Restaurants in Downtown Toronto
The only downside is that the menu changes daily, and when I visited, the highly acclaimed duck confit ππ₯Ή was unfortunately not available. Appetizers: Baked Snails: These are already prepared, full of rich flavor, and the bread soaked in the garlic butter is delicious too. ππ Foie Gras Platter: A mix of duck and chicken liver. Not recommended if youβre sensitive to gamey flavors. π¦π½οΈ Clams Stewed in White Wine: Tangy and refreshing, small portion but very tasty. π·π¦ͺ Main Courses: Grilled Calf Liver: Exceeded expectations! The restaurant recommends medium-rare, but we had it fully cooked. The calf liver is packed with flavor and is one of their specialties! ππ₯© Red Wine Braised Beef: A standard dish with a slightly sour broth, which might be a hit or miss depending on your taste. π·π² Braised Lamb Shank: The lamb is incredibly tender, with a complex blend of spices in the broth. I absolutely loved it! The couscous underneath has a unique texture and tastes amazing with the broth. The chef mentioned the lamb was braised overnight with wine and spices. The only downside was that the lamb was cold... Even though the broth was hot, I was craving a steaming hot dish. ππ² Desserts: Banana with Coconut Ice Cream: 3 scoops of ice cream. The flavors were great, and you can swap the ice cream for non-dairy sorbets if you prefer. ππ¦ The restaurant has plenty of seating, with a French-style decor and outdoor seating in the backyard. The staff are super friendly. The average cost per person is around $60-$70 π°. You can find it on Google Maps, and I highly recommend calling ahead to check the menu for the day, especially if youβre hoping for a specific dish like the duck leg... #TorontoLife #TorontoEats #TorontoWeekendSpots #HiddenGemRestaurants #TorontoDateNights #TorontoFood #WeekendDining ### Name: Le Paradis Address: 166 Bedford Rd, Toronto, ON M5R 2K9 Type: Restaurant ###
