African Safari: Just 1 Meter from a Lion! 🦁 Is It Really Safe?🦁

On a safari in Kenya or Tanzania, the vehicles are open-sided—no windows!🚙💨 So, will lions attack humans? 😱 I always say there’s a reason behind every animal’s behavior.🦁🤔 Lions (or any animal) attack for two main reasons: 1️⃣ Survival: Hunting for food, or retaliating if their cubs are killed.🍖👶 2️⃣ Self-defense: Feeling threatened.🛡️ Otherwise, lions conserve energy, especially during the dry season when food is scarce.⚠️ Every failed attack wastes energy, lowering their survival chances.😴 🕵️ We’ve observed lions stalking prey many times, but they rarely attack unless the prey is unaware.👀 For example, once a lion charged at a wildebeest, but the wildebeest just stared back!🤦♂️ As for us in safari vehicles, we’re not prey.🙅♂️ Lions avoid eating carnivores unless starving, as they’re “stinky.”🤢 Humans? Even stinkier and unfamiliar!🤮 🚙 Plus, from a lion’s perspective, a safari vehicle is a giant “alien.” Even if hungry, they’d assess the risk and likely back off.👽 ⚠️ Why do zoo lions attack? Zoo lions are often mentally unstable from captivity, overfeeding, and lack of natural behavior.😢 Their attacks may stem from frustration, not hunger. Don’t compare them to wild animals!🦁🆚🐅 Wild animals prioritize efficient survival.
