Alaska | Food Recommendations in Alyeska, Anchorage ๐ฝ๏ธ๐๏ธ
When you're in a bit of an "Asian food desert," itโs best to trust local rankings! Since we were looking for a late-night snack, options were limited, but these two spots definitely delivered โ both in taste and experience. On our way to dinner, we got super lucky ๐ โ a huge moose was calmly eating leaves by the road! ๐ฆ A crowd gathered to take photos, but the moose finished its meal and casually crossed the street. The wildlife protection here is amazing! According to a local friend, itโs common to spot moose โ sheโs even seen two brown bear cubs in a park! ๐ 1. Fletcherโs Open until 11 PM โฐ โ great value at ~$40 per person. The service was excellent! Must-order: Ribeye Steak ๐ฅฉ. We loved it so much we wanted a third portion, but the kitchen was already closing. Still, they kindly made an exception and grilled one more for us! Three steaks later โ totally satisfied ๐. ๐ป 2. Glacier BrewHouse A local favorite! We ordered steak, pasta, seafood chowder โ all delicious and no disappointments. Their King Crab was tasty โ we got two servings! ๐ฆ Also highly recommend trying their local Alaskan beer ๐บ. ๐จ Stay: Alyeska Resort Ski pass: $130 โ totally worth it for intermediate or advanced skiers ๐ฟโท๏ธ. The snow was perfect when we went โ๏ธ, but the slopes arenโt beginner-friendly. ๐ง Spa Access: $130 No natural hot springs, but thereโs an outdoor spa pool + sauna. The spa restaurant has limited options, but the outdoor area has a beautiful Japanese-inspired design โ especially magical when itโs snowing! โ๏ธ๐ธ (No phones allowed, though!). โญ Spa Rating: ๐ Most restaurants in the resort didnโt look appealing menu-wise โ better to drive into town via Highway 1 ๐. It takes about 1 hour to get to the city and 45 minutes back. #AlyeskaEats #AnchorageFood #AlaskaTravel #FoodieRecommendations #WildAlaska ๐๏ธ๐ธ
