Albuquerque | El Paisa Taqueria šŸŒ®šŸ”„

Came across this place online—rumored to be even better than tacos in Mexico City! Decided to grab lunch here right away. Arrived a little after 1 PM, just past the peak lunch hour, so it wasn’t crowded. But the queue guides at the window clearly showed how popular this place gets during rush times! Even though it’s a simple counter-service spot, the lady taking orders was super friendly 🄰. She gave great suggestions and patiently waited while I dug out cash (yep, it’s cash only šŸ’µ). Here’s what I tried: 🌮 Barbacoa: Slow-cooked beef cheek—so tender it melts in your mouth. 🌮 Al Pastor: Classic marinated pork with incredible seasoning. 🌮 Lengua: Beef tongue—surprisingly soft, not chewy at all. 🌮 Buche: Pork stomach marinated in local red chili. Mildly spicy with a nice bite—perfect for those who enjoy gentle heat. Also couldn’t resist trying: 🌮 Frijol con Queso Burrito: Beans and melted cheese stretched like chocolate—so smooth and satisfying. 🌮 Quesadillas con Carne Asada: Grilled steak pieces with cheese. You can order one or two, and with beans/cheese and avocado salad, it’s a full meal šŸŒÆšŸ§€. The flavors were absolutely amazing! After ordering at the window, you just wait for your number to be called. The March sun in Albuquerque was warm and bright ā˜€ļøā€”I enjoyed my meal on the patio, totally content.
