All Flowers, Everywhere! – 2024 Toowoomba Flower Festival Trip πŸŒΊπŸ’

Finally made it to the flowers! It was my first time in Toowoomba, and we planned a relaxed 3-day, 2-night trip over the weekend with the flower parade so both kids and adults wouldn’t get too tired. Here’s where we stopped: 🌷 Queens Park & Laurel Bank Park We parked around the outer areas or on the street – plenty of spots if you circle a bit. On weekends it gets busy! Tip: Queens Park is huge, but the main floral displays are near the Botanic Garden – park closer to that side. 🎌 Japanese Garden (UniSQ) Located inside the University of Southern Queensland. Not very big, but beautifully designed – super photogenic! Highly recommend. πŸŽ‰ Flower Parade Started at 10 AM, but we arrived an hour early to grab parking and a good viewing spot. With kids, standing up front helped us finish early – the whole parade wrapped up in about an hour! Thanks to my experienced friend for the tip 😊 🏞️ Picnic Point Lookout A must-see in Toowoomba, according to my friend. The cafΓ© has great views, but it was too crowded – we just took photos and let the kids play at the playground. πŸ₯ The Baker’s Duck A must for croissant lovers! We tried five flavors. The caramel puff and hazelnut were sweet, but the other three were just right – especially the flower-shaped one: light, not too sweet, and delicious. Their croissants are incredibly flaky and crispy – pure happiness in every bite! 🏑 Highfields Pioneer Village About 20+ minutes drive from the city. Tickets at the entrance: $20/adult, free for under 5. There are cows πŸ„, mini gardens, animal zones, old-style shops and schoolhouses – like the Tamborine Mountain display but bigger! We went on a Sunday – extra activities like a mini train (extra ticket), sheep shearing, and butter making. So much fun! We heard Spring Bluff Railway Station and some local homes also open for flower viewing (ticketed) – maybe next time! Traveling with little ones is exhausting, but the memories are priceless πŸ’– #ToowoombaFlowers #FamilyTrip #SpringInAustralia #TravelWithKids #FlowerParade #AustralianGardens #UnforgettableMemories
