Alright NYC, Cuban-Chinese Fusion — You've Won Me Over! 🇨🇺✨

Rainy weekend, but nothing stops my cravings! While I was on vacation, my coworkers “secretly” tried this Cuban-Chinese spot—so I had to go see what the hype was about. And wow, it delivered! 😋🌧️ 👉 Grilled Shrimp with Garlic Mojo (Matata's Pick!) Perfectly grilled shrimp—crispy outside, tender inside, served with a flavorful garlic sauce. Finished both skewers in seconds! 🍤🔥 👉 Papas Rellenas Crispy beef-stuffed potato balls with a hint of jalapeño. Creamy, savory, and even better drizzled with lemon and shrimp sauce! 🥔🍋 👉 Ropa Vieja Noodles (Matata's Pick!) A mountain of tender, shredded beef over chewy noodles in a bold, slightly spicy sauce—rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying! 🍜🌶️ 👉 Cuban Fried Rice A huge portion of fried rice with shrimp, onions, and spam—lighter than the beef noodles but still delicious with a subtle creamy note. 🍚🦐 Desserts: 🍮 Dulce De Leche Cheesecake – chocolate mousse top, sweet cheesecake base (a bit rich for me). 🍦 Vanilla Gelato – fragrant but on the sweeter side. Cocktails: 🍹 Max Ver – light peach notes with gin, refreshing and easy to sip. 🍹 Chan Chan – citrusy, smooth, and subtly sweet. 📍 Calle Dao 461 W 23rd St, New York, NY 💵 ~$75 per person #NYCEats #CubanFood #ChineseFusion #ComfortFood #RainyDayEats #NYCFoodie #FlavorMix #MatataEats #NYCDining #HiddenGem #FoodieWin #WeekendFeast
