Ambience-Filled Marais District Bistro and French Restaurant 🍷🍽️
A local French friend recommended this bar & restaurant in the Marais district, with a very retro, beautiful, and French-style decor. 🏠The dishes are average, but the desserts are exceptional. For the Entree, I chose mushroom ravioli, which had a large piece of mushroom on top of the mushroom-filled pasta. The cream sauce was good, but for some reason, it seemed like the salt wasn't evenly distributed—some parts were particularly salty. It's a common French dining experience to have dishes that seem under-salted, and this was no exception. 🏠For the Plat, we chose Poulet jaune and coquille. One was tender chicken with a yellow curry-like sauce served with rice, which suited my taste quite well. The other was scallops with mashed potatoes; the potatoes were very pureed and incredibly soft and fragrant. The same issue with salt distribution seemed to persist... 🏠For dessert, we chose two options, crème brûlée and Paris Brest, and they were the best Paris Brest I've ever had! The caramel cream was sweet but not overly rich, and the choux pastry was neither dry nor hard, which is quite rare. The caramel custard was also incredibly smooth and delicate. The first floor is a bar, and the second floor is the restaurant, with an average cost per person of 50-60 euros. #MaraisBistroFrenchRestaurant #RestaurantRecommendation #ParisFrance
