AMS | Michelin Dining for Over 30โ‚ฌ ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ

Dutch Restaurant Week: Over 100 Michelin-starred restaurants participate in this culinary event. Isn't it the perfect time to grab some opportunities? ๐Ÿฒ Value-Added Menus: In addition to the stars, many restaurants offer specially curated, cost-effective set menus for Restaurant Week. ๐Ÿ” Michelin Filter: The official website features a dedicated Michelin filter to help you find all the Michelin-participating restaurants. ๐Ÿ“… Reservation: Mid-month, I booked a 58โ‚ฌ five-course meal at Bistro de la Mer (one Michelin star) in the heart of Amsterdam (they also offer a 38.5โ‚ฌ three-course meal). ๐Ÿฅ˜ Five-Course Menu: This includes mackerel, shrimp, conch, cod, and grapefruit dessert. ๐Ÿž Bread Service: As soon as we sat down, the waiter brought us warm, freshly baked bread with a crispy crust and a moist, soft interior. The crumb was excellent, and the air holes were perfect. Spread with the restaurant's homemade butter, the creamy and wheaty flavors melded beautifully. ๐Ÿฆž Lobster Bisque: After a while, the waiter served a small cup of lobster soup, which was incredibly salty on its own but delicious when sopped up with bread. ๐ŸŸ Mackerel: It was incredibly rich and fatty, with a wonderful aroma. Paired with tomato and strawberry jelly, the sweet and sour flavors balanced the richness of the fish. Topped with a foam made from a Japanese plant (didn't catch the name), it added a refreshing touch, enriching the texture. ๐Ÿฆ Shrimp Carpaccio: The shrimp was flattened and paired with zesty lemon peel. Topped with crispy, fried spices (unknown) and shrimp legs, the spices reminded me of Chinese barbecue seasonings but paired surprisingly well. The crispy shrimp legs were a delightful touch. ๐Ÿฎ Dessert: A base of grapefruit and jelly, a middle of lemon sorbet, and a top of meringue with caramel. It was incredibly refreshing with a very bright acidity (might be too sour for some). ๐Ÿ•’ Dining Experience: The meal lasted nearly three hours, with thoughtful dishes and fresh ingredients. #MichelinRestaurants #AtmosphereRestaurants #ExperienceWesternDining #AmsterdamRestaurantWeek #AmsterdamMichelin
