🏠 Amsterdam / Museum. Rembrandt House Museum

🏠Open daily from 10:00-18:00, book online or buy tickets on-site Tickets booked online still require queuing at the entrance for scanning, museum cards can be tapped directly 💼Large backpacks need to be stored, coats can be stored as well, small crossbody bags do not need to be stored and must be worn on the front throughout the visit 🎧Complimentary audio guides with headphones are available, just tell the staff you need one 🚪Follow the audio guide to tour Rembrandt's former residence, moving in a single file upstairs. The paintings on display are mostly by associated artists or Rembrandt's students. After the tour, descend on the other side and return to the entrance There are hardly any original works by Rembrandt, but you can learn about his life, relationships, and experience the pigment and etching process demonstrated by the staff up close (11:00-15:00, approximately 15 minutes each time) What's interesting is that at the top floor where the tour ends, there are currently two artists creating works on-site. This Open Studio will last until November 19th, and visitors can watch their creative process The gift shop is located next to the entrance and exit, offering common souvenirs such as commemorative coins, fridge magnets, badges, postcards, wall hangings, etc. The main museum visit takes about 2 hours, and there will soon be a new temporary exhibition, which is currently being set up, extending the visit if you wish to see it Overall, the content is not very rich, it's worth visiting for free with a museum card, but the paid ticket might not be worth it #Amsterdam #RembrandtMuseum
