Amsterdam Green Michelin De Kas 🌿✨
De Kas can be considered a beginner-friendly Michelin restaurant in Amsterdam! With a six-course meal for €88, it's quite affordable. Nowadays, having just three à la carte dishes at any random place in Amsterdam costs around €50 or €60! 😱😋 The name "De Kas" translates to "The Greenhouse" in Dutch, and it focuses on dishes made from vegetables harvested fresh in the morning from its own farm. In addition to a small greenhouse next to the restaurant (open for visitors), they also have a larger space for their planting in Beemster. So besides earning a Michelin star, they also received a Green Star! ☘️ That night, I went with my boyfriend's mom, and we both enjoyed the meal very much. Besides the six courses, we were served two amuse-bouches and unlimited bread. If you order coffee, you get a canelé as well, and at the end of the meal, we were each given a bowl of ice cream. However, such offerings are pretty standard in fine dining these days! The set menu includes not only vegetarian options but also fish and meat. We left super full! 🍽️❤️ If you’re brave enough to try raw beef or oysters 🦪, definitely order the beef tartare with oysters! It was sooo delicious! 🤤 Other dishes were tasty but didn’t leave a lasting impression, haha! I think it doesn’t quite reach star level, but the standards for Michelin stars vary. When I visited in April, I forgot what I ate 😂❤️🩹. Maybe it’s just my issue, haha! It proves that I should post about my meals quickly and not procrastinate! 😮💨😆 You can just check out the pictures; I can't tell you much of a story. But it’s definitely worth a visit! The restaurant is located in Park Frankendael, housed in a beautiful greenhouse. De Kas has always been a popular restaurant in Amsterdam, so make sure to book two months in advance! 📅 #RestaurantReview #Amsterdam #Michelin #MichelinDining #MyDailyLife
