An Exquisite Izakaya in the Bay Area 🄹

Ladies in the Bay Area! I can't believe I just discovered such an exquisite Japanese izakaya in Newark! It's been open for half a year, but this was my first visit, and I was truly blown away! 🤩 šŸ“ Kakushi Izakaya 39261 Cedar Blvd, Newark, CA 94560 ✨ As soon as you walk in, the Japanese decor and soft lighting make you feel incredibly cozy. The wooden furniture and traditional Japanese paintings on the walls add a lot of authentic charm. 🤩 Every dish we had was not only visually stunning but also incredibly fresh and delicious. Even the side dishes were amazing! If you just want to enjoy the food without drinks, you can have a fantastic meal for around $50 per person. šŸ„— Pre-Meal Appetizers As soon as we sat down, the waiter brought us complimentary appetizers—edamame, pickled tomatoes, and miso soup. Pickled tomatoes are quite rare in Bay Area Japanese side dishes, and they were tangy and sweet, making for a great appetizer. The miso soup was perfectly seasoned, not too salty but fresh and sweet. We also ordered the wasabi squid, which was tender and chewy with a hint of wasabi aroma—super refreshing! šŸ¶ Drinks As an izakaya, the drinks are definitely a highlight. The restaurant has a unique feature where guests can choose their own sake cups from a selection of over ten exquisite designs. It's a bit overwhelming for those with choice anxiety. Their drink menu is incredibly diverse, especially featuring a high-end Japanese sake called "Yoneda." It's not commonly seen in the Bay Area, so sake connoisseurs should definitely give it a try. #SanFranciscoBayArea #BayAreaEats #BayAreaCuisine
