The fusion of the hard materials of the sculptures and the soft, ever-changing light and shadow will literally take your breath away! 🌅 🌊 The Asakura Sculpture Museum is actually the former residence of the sculptor Asakura Fumio, who personally supervised its design and construction, which was completed in 1936. You really have to admire his taste. 🌅 The study and garden are both worth a good look! 🌿 The garden was built by the landscape designer Nishikawa Satoru, and the garden stones were collected from all over Japan. The standing stone in front of the bedroom is a sea stone from Manazuru, Kanagawa Prefecture.
